Feb. 27/11 Update
- As most are aware last weekend enforcement of insurance took place at the Duck Lk. Bridge. 15 were stopped 2 had insurance. 13 had none. Each were given warnings. The CO's have promised to continue the checks. 2 were later charged with dangerous driving. As well later in the week a charge was placed on someone driving into Haslam Lk. A fine was issued.
- Theodosia - Vandalisem is still a major problem. It seems everyone is blaming ATV Access for the problem. While we all know some may be involved there are others who are not ATV'ers that are to blame as well. Since we as ATV'ers are highly visible it is easy to blame us. Therefore please report this activity if you see it. Or we will continue to be blamed and lose our access down the road.
- The Ministry of Natural Resources has informed me that the application for the Recreational Site on Duck Lk is in its final steps. So by the end of May we may be in the process of raising funds for this project.

Jan.16/11
This last week has been a very successfull one with 2 meetings - one with Western which was very informative on the Douglas Fir Beetle attack locally. As well a discusion on Invasive Plants by Blake Fourgere. Lastly at our monthly ORUG (Outdoor Recreation User Group) Westlake Woodlands brought us up to date with their new upcoming Website and how it will assist in keeping us informed on logging activities around Duck Lake. These updates will soon be displayed on our website as well.
This week has seen many changes to the website as well as a new email system to better communicate to the members. My thanks to Danny McKenzie for his help.
